Two points better. That’s a go-to saying for Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook. In volleyball, you just have to be two points better than your opponent in three sets to win the match, and you can do that sometimes even when you don’t have your best stuff.

And two points better is exactly what the Huskers were in two sets on Friday in a four-set win against Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.

Nebraska didn’t play a great match, but overcame deficits and won close sets in both the first and fourth sets for a 25-23, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23 victory.

Junior outside hitter Mikaela Foecke had 15 kills and redshirt freshman middle blocker Lauren Stivrins had a career-high 12 to lead the Huskers.
