Very human and beautiful initiative by WTA. The Women’s Tennis Association raised this year $25,000 for the USANA True Health Foundation, through an interesting way: beginning in Indian Wells this past March, every ace by any player hit in WTA Premier Level events translated into a $5 donation, 20$ instead for aces hit by USANA Brand Ambassadors Caroline Wozniacki, Eugenie Bouchard, Monica Puig and Zheng Saisai.
President of the Foundation Brian Paul said: ‘With all of the recent natural disasters that have been experienced around the world, we are beyond grateful for the continued support that the WTA and its players have given us.
Because of their commitment we have been able to respond to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Maria, as well as the 7.1 earthquake in Mexico City, efficiently and effectively.’ Since 2012, the WTA has donated $170,000 to the no-profit charity, helping to provide meals, building houses, supporting health education programs.
